Space Trilogy - Planets
This unique galactic piece is part of my space trilogy. This art piece features multiple planets in a starry sky.
I used both stained glass and fused glass techniques to make this panel.
The three smaller planets were made by layering orange, red, and white glass along with mica and melting them together multiple times in a kiln.
I made the stars by fusing white glass and copper and bronze mica to the blue background pieces. The mica gives off a subtle shimmer.
The big planet is made from glass that has a deep red and white swirled together.
All metal is silver in color.
The frame is painted oak. There are D-rings on the back of the frame so you can hang the piece on your wall. Other hanging hardware is NOT included.
The piece is initialed by me, Kaylee DeWitt.
Size - 12 x 14 inches including the frame
